During the month of August, the HORIZONS Staff, as well as our friends at Patisserie, State Street Café, Diamond Café and Michigan Cream & Sugar Ice Cream Company, had the opportunity to participate in two workshop seminars hosted by Zingerman’s ZingTrain team.
Our staff participated in The Art of Giving Great Service Workshop and The Living Servant Leadership Workshop, where we acquired fresh tools and techniques as well as new ways to expand and strengthen our service culture amongst our respective businesses. Additionally, we learned of more ways to provide excellent service to not only our guests, but to one another on a day-to-day basis as well.
Zingerman’s ZingTrain team have been around for more than 25 years and focus on five main topics – Customer Service, Leadership Development, Visioning, Open Book Management and Training. These workshop seminars provided the staff members with the opportunity to learn new skills, brainstorm ideas and concepts with one another, and get an action plan together for how the new tools and tricks can be implemented going forward. Gaining fresh, new perspectives is important – and these workshop seminars allowed our staff to do that!
